I have a TRW/Thompson, I believe, Model 0.96 steering pump and I'm looking for a rebuild kit that includes the
bearing bushing. I'm really looking for the bearing bushing.

The pulley side of the shaft is plain and 0.675in. The other side of the shaft is 0.62in
I've seen the model 0.96 called the smaller TRW.
Manufacturers do not list the size of the parts, so I'm having a hell of a time finding the correct ones.

At this point, I'll take a rebuilt unit, without the reservoir or the pulley, IF IF I can determine that will fit
properly and it doesn't cost an arm and leg.

If it matters, I have a 68 Fury III with a 383. I believe it was born-with the model 1.2 pump.

I’ve got this for sale… ‘66 Federal pump with everything. I resealed the pump, new hose and return line (correct for ‘66, not sure if ‘68 is the same return line material), new tensioner bumper.

I wanted to check to be sure. I’ve got it advertised elsewhere as a Federal but that’s not right…

After digging more it’s a TRW. Will fit ‘68-up but it’s not correct for a ‘68 from what I’m seeing.

It really looks like it will fit especially with the bracket and pulley. I’d be interested to see more pics if you have some. No rush ofcourse.

After another look I see the bracket is different but maybe I use my bracket n hoses

I was just told the ‘61-‘66 uses a larger return hose (and looking at others I have I think that’s right) so the nipple on the pump is larger diameter so I’m thinking it won’t work unless you deal with the return hose mismatch.

A return hose mismatch does not sound like fun. I’ll measure my return hose nipple in the morning

I think it’s because the early ones use a filter in the return line nipple. So it’s like a 1/2” id hose instead of 3/8”. You could probably run the bigger hose and a worm gear type clamp and it would seal. But it’s not “right”.

Yes...just measured...the hose is 3/8.
