This is way better than a 300 Hurst,
I love it that’s a cool Car.

Nice job on the Tach too, other members would likely like to know where/how he got it. Also, can't be sure, but looks like the ignition interlock is there. Nice touch.

Apologies, I don't know how to do a link. Head over to the restoration section and check out welderguy's thread " I finished building my '69 fury dash tach today".

I'm sure this has been posted many times, but I'll give it a go from the top search find.

1971 *Dodge* *Polara* HP2 Tribute Coupe - $34,500

Dodge_ Polara_ For Sale by Jim Babish Auto Sales Inc.

Vehicle Description For This *Dodge* *Polara*

This is a 1971 Dodge Polara HP2 Tribute with a 440ci 6-pack with 4-speed manual transmission.

It was initially a 1-owner 60,000 mile 318ci Torqueflite Automatic Polara owned by a woman from St. Louis who bought it brand new.

The Polara's second owner - A Minnesota Mopar Fanatic - made the upgrades. ...
Restoration and modification was done by Dan States of Superior Muscle Cars in Minnesota.
This car was originally B2 Metallic Blue and it still is with just one repaint. This Polara still wears original paint in the door jambs and under the hood with the rest of the car being repainted only once in B2 Metallic Blue.

Dan States painstakingly modified the transmission tunnel to house an 833 4-speed transmission with pistol grip shifter and put in a 440ci Engine with a Roller Cam set-up, producing more than 500HP on pump gasoline. The Engine was built by Lofgren Automotive. The genesis of this build was to emulate a Plymouth Sport Fury.

Other cool add-ons: A 140 mph speedo was sourced from a '71 police car and the clock was removed and replaced with a vintage dixco tach. The interior and white vinyl top are original to the car and are in near perfect condition. The steel bumpers have had the bolt heads removed and filled in to give the look of an Endura bumper.

There is much more to this story, come see it in person and read the article from Mopar Collector's Guide magazine. I will add more info here when time permits. This car can only be driven by prequalified, serious buyers. PLEASE be sure to VIEW ALL 60 detailed PHOTOS at www.jimbabishauto.com.

Cant anyone just enjoy this damn car? Jesus christ.

Yea I kind'a thought that, being kind'a net sensitive this morning from some bashing otherwhere,

Makes you wonder at who's really making money on these, the Transporters? Title agencies? Brokers/Financiers?

Transports and title agencies. This car just sold for like 24k not 3 months ago. 10k mark up for a car that has a limited market. Makes sense....NOT
