The Dover Dragstrip drew drivers from far and wide, but local wingdale resident Cindy "Patsy" Judson, made her mark in the record books. Her father, known as "cowboy" Judson was based at the Church Hill Garage in Wingdale, wrenched her Hemi Dodge, and was also the mechanic for Carmine "Pep" Calabro's rainbow painted #00 at Patterson and Arlington in the early 50's.

Awhhhhh. The old clay aerodynamics R & D has been around for a long time.

The NASCAR cup teams used to rent the Talladega track disguised as ARCA teams to test different aero configurations using clay. We had to be careful who got access to the track those days.
