Thanks @crv and @polara71 for the info. Has anyone gotten additional photos of this car, including the fender tag (I wonder whey it's black in the photo above)? Several of the folks who'd be interested in this car are not on FB, so it'd be great to see all the photos (including the 7 extra from FB) posted here.

From what I see: low-option Polara 'vert (no A/C, 2-speed wiper, no fender signal repeaters) but it has power disc brakes, RHS mirror and a BB (good choices by the original buyer IMO). Engine seems repainted? Interior seems original and well preserved (no cracks or tears, just a few of the threads starting to go where the driver's bum goes). What is it that I see below the radio?

Looks like a digital clock.

Looks like it's "just enough car" to be interesting and fun at the same time. Just a "normal car" with its basically standard orientation. No buckets and console, for example.

The front seat/instrument panel pictures seems to show a chrome aftermarket air cleaner, but the full engine shot shows a factory set-up minus the heat pipe.

Would probably be a great car for somebody that would enjoy driving it! Generating lots fo good memories at the same time. With just a bit of TLC to keep things looking/performing well.

And of course, ANY Chrysler Corp convertible will have pretty low production numbers, compared to the other body styles of the same model and year. BTAIM

Just some thoughts,

anyone close enough to put eyes on it?

I posted questions without a response. Now there are two FCBO sandbaggers over there talking **** about the value of C bodies ( because they're the best evaluators).

Valve covers should be blue, they have been repainted. Would be nice to see a photo with the top up as condition matters as to the value of the car. Trunk floor is said to have been replaced, usually that means that there would have been significant rust on the lower quarter radii and the extensions as well. Fine if all that was properly repaired. After market orange box ignition conversion. Chrome air cleaner in one photo is an after market unit. As the car has had the fuel line and sending unit replaced, that would suggest that the condition of the fuel tank is suspect and that there may be some underside rust. No mention if anything has been done to the brakes. I doubt this car will sell at the asking price.

Dave, all due respect, why do you always presume the worst? Ive replaced bad sending units while keeping a good solid gas tank with no gum.
A replaced trunk floor in no way tells me the quarters were toast. It tells me the trunk had water intrusion that went uncared for.

Let's get eyes on it first before you devalue it to derby status, ok?

I was not suggesting derby status. At the asking price, this car needs to be in very good condition. Agreed, eyes need to be on this car. If it is a native CA car, it is not likely to be a rust bucket, but one should always verify because there are a lot of bondo buckets out there that have premium asking prices. Some of them wind up being sold in CA. Folks who do not have a lot of experience with older cars get screwed like that every day. I hope that this is a nice rust free car as it is a nice example of a '70 Polara that will make somebody a fun car, but one always needs to verify condition.

Dave

Of course it needs to be verified but no one is dropping twelve k on a unseen car or without a million pictures.
The giveaway here is it retains the wheel well moldings which suggest the quarters have not been played with.

Premium for this car would be 25 not 12

OK folks, since everyone who's on FB has been asking, do we have any updates on the car itself?
