I was thinking of using factory trans cooler from a 64 imperial on a 61 Plymouth.
Has anybody here used a a 64,65,66 trans cooler on their c body?
Did it all fit with factory lines and no modifications?

Since it's already built into the rad on automatic equipped cars, I was not aware there was a factory additional trans cooler. I know there are power steering coolers...

I'd be interested in images.

Sorry,my bad. Went out to look at parts car in the dark and noticed the 2 A/C radiators?
Thought one was a trans cooler like the auto hemi cars had.?
Traced the lines back and saw that it was connected to A/C.
Why are there 2 separate A/C radiators on a imperial?
Looks like it can be modified to make a factory fitting, looking a trans cooler?

I've used A/C "radiators" in the past for tranny coolers. They work very well, but it isn't going to be a factory type installation if that is what you want.
I too would guess a rear A/C equipped car to have two of them.

Hit the pick and pulls . plenty of diffrettnt styles on truck and cars . This came off a ford truck and used it on my 65 Old's.

All I can find in the 66 parts book is a hemi only trans cooler. It's listed in Section 9 under trans oil cooling core, which is a listing of the various cooler sections of radiators for automatic equipped cars.
I can find no pic of it, and it leads me to believe it's a special heavy duty version of what's usually found in an automatic radiator.

There are all kinds of options, both Mopar and aftermarket. Currently I'm running an aftermarket trans cooler, but it's always neater (in my opinion) to run factory gear that's correct for your car, if it can be found. That's just me... lol!

The C body police car enthusiasts would have some info on this.
