1971 Chrysler T&C 440

Cleaned her up a bit... would look better with tail light lenses lol

Wow, they are super nice when all cleaned up aren't they. Yea, I think the thin trim around the grill is the same 69 thru 71. The clips are extremely difficult to find but I've seen them pop up on eBay now and then. If you can grab some at the yard that are not damaged the grab them. Once you get them you must take your time and go slow when installing them with the trim..they break EASY. I got trim pieces from from Murray Park and clips came with the trim pieces.

That would ruin the car in my opinion. The T&C was not a stripper Satellite.

What... no hood scoop, flames and side pipes?! Lol. I thought about that too... would look like morphed 71 Plymouth wagon or ??? I am a purist at heart, as in all original... even the hubcaps. Another set of road wheels and white walls would be nice too. I would like to warm the 440 up to slightly hotter than TNT specs... but stock appearing. See if I can't get original at least turning over the next few days.

Yeah, that's the best way IMHO. I keep my car stock looking (mostly), stoked the motor up a bit with some nice 383/440 magnum type parts and that's about it. Looks nice, runs great.

this one still has all the trim around the grill. Looks like its in pretty good shape.

Yeah, will check parts car over... yard owner doesn't want me to take parts off the green car, rightly so. So... almost ready for points judging Lol

The right side definitely has had more exposure and is really faded toward back quarter. Hey... just used the thank you button. Is this to be used instead of the word thanks?...curious newbie wants to know its purpose.

You're right about that. Just take a closer look at Commando's signature next time. :)

This is how the build sheet was placed under the drivers seat and what the mice left of it. Has a Sure Grip and axle 53... 3.23?

Wish Dinoc on right side looked the same... This is No. 3 intake pushrod, got valve unstuck working with a hammer. No. 6 intake was also stuck, not as bad. I think someone started this car up with rancid fuel at one point. Engine is still hanging up, won't quite make a revolution will try ATF in hopes of breaking rust or... something got down into cylinder with carb being off.

The only way to avoid the Di-Noc issues (fading & wrinkles) is to paint the woodgrain look on. I've never regretted doing it on my T&C.

Thanks all... talk about a labor of love, but with 5,697 built had to save her, wonder how many of those had the 440... maybe 30-40%? I knew there was a reason the 440 was still in it, but no water in the oil and 113K miles may be be able to leave short block in car. Great time to pop in 6-pack cam, roller chain and do the heads... if the bores are OK. If it frees up, will run it as is. Next, will have to attack wiring harnesses, could ring those tweakers necks!... cut every loom, for what... 25 cents?!

Mr. C... got to be one of the nicest 74-77 on earth, really like that green... and those wheels! Neighbor had white 76 for many years...

I like Mr. C's T&C a lot too! Best one I've seen on FCBO or anywhere!

to me painting the woodgrain is no solution.

What helps making the faded woodgrain look better is put some WD40 oil on a towel and wipe it over the foil. Makes it look darker again.

All original mint interior I am sure. Currently have all interior removed, what mess but it is alot better. Hey Mr. C, can I borrow those wheels... just too see how they look on the 71? lol

I use Liquid Gold furniture polish, works well but washes away after awhile
