Leaf Springs or Air Shocks for sagging 197070 Chrysler 300

St Louis Spring has made many C body leafs for me. You want to avoid air shocks at All costs as it's 2023 & that's 1972 technology. The silver KYB shocks alone will make your car drive completely different (much better). The KYB for Any MOPAR is the Best bang for the buck improvement PERIOD...

    Shocks for 72 C body

I have installed KYB on 1970 & 1971 Fury. The front shocks were a bear to install. Personally, I'd spend the least on front shocks and the most on new Firm Feel torsion bars. As to rear shocks, I like the KYB. @ayilar will have further advice.

Hello from germany / 440 New Yorker

Is that the shock you have on your NYer now, 22.5 ext? You should go the longer shock, 24" KG5413 KYB rear. KG4507 KYB front. Install 72 dodge pick up truck rear brake flex hose to allow max drop of axel to remove wheels easy. The listed c-body hose is too short and when you lift car the hose...

Uncle Ray is going in for round 2

Some before and after action. Before: original springs and shitty Monroe coil overs. After: espo 2 inch over stock and KYB KG 5413 shocks. I know it's not everyone's flavor of "stance" but it looks pretty sweet to me.

    Shocks

The car currently has air shocks. I don't really want air shocks. Are KYB gas adjust load levelers. I have no idea. Just want good shocks. I am replacing all of the suspension on the car.

Uncle Ray is going in for round 2

This year's project is complete! The rear settled nicely after I put the bumper on and put some gas in the tank. Took it for a couple laps around town and the ESPO springs and the KYB shocks are a great combo. Now, I'll be waiting waiting for Carlisle!

    1967 Imperial leaf spring isolator

...until I find a source for new ones. It was kind of a pain to reinstall, but I could not get the other side loose and I didn't want to heat it up and damage the bushing. I used KYB Excel G shocks. It rides so much better than wonky old springs with air shocks! To me I think it sits perfectly

Front and rear shock absorbers for my 57 Belvedere 301 v8?

...but what was suggested above and what you did would be the only suggestion I could offer. I'm surprised the shocks were sent fully extended from KYB. I've never seen that. I'm guessing the boxes they came in were almost twice as long as the shock body itself. Was there KYB marking on the...

Front and rear shock absorbers for my 57 Belvedere 301 v8?

This is a little nuts. The FRONT KYB shocks came in their boxes fully extended with no tie down so I have to compress them manually and try to install quickly into place but they extend really fast. I am on the first one that I managed to get into place but at an angle so the top stud doesn't...

    Is KYB "Losing It's Stuff?"

I will likely try these adjustable Ranchos when the time comes. I sifted thru a lot of specs and compared KYB specs with these and they are close. My biggest concern is front compressed height. Rancho is 3/4" taller. As far as valving and tuning the adjustability factor should make these work...

Front and rear shock absorbers for my 57 Belvedere 301 v8?

I hear KYB shocks are good middle of the road shocks but there's so many on ebay and have contradicting info on what actually fits. Not looking to spend a lot but don't want junk either. Anyone have info on what will fit front and rear maybe on ebay or Amazon?? Thanks!

67 Polara - Can I Do Shocks and Struts at Home?

Rockauto has the KYB gas ajust shocks for $44 (CAD) each. A pair of them shipped to Ontario, with shipping and taxes, comes to $123 CAD. I myself bought a pair made by "PRT" for $21 each. I haven't driven the car yet with them (I'm still putting the front of the car back together). If I...
