1965 Power antenna repair or replace?

The Adapter 1-88-6 should match the inner contour of the fender for a sturdy mount when combined with the outer bezel. I suspect the bushing might be more of a generic bushing of a particular diameter and thickness to keep the center mast centered in the outer tube? Then the collar holds all...

    For Sale 1966 Imperial convertible

You can buy new engine mounts although I do understand they are pricey. I have one new and one used ‘66 rear engine mount and I’ll dig out my spare front mounts and see how they compare to the ones in both of my ‘64s.

Never seen industrial BB headers before

The 440 is an RV motor with the angled spark plugs and as mentioned the high mount water pump.. From that pump it has passages going to each front of head. Basically, as a core engine only the short block and crank are of any use in a passenger car. The 2bbl 400 will have the good 452 heads and...

...that, because there are a LOT of unknowns, and any missing parts will be a PITA to find. There are lots of 65-only parts (like driverside motor mount and door locks), and then 65-only, Fury-only things, too (some body panels and trim, brakelights, etc). No less than $1000, because it's a 65...

    383 spark plug

On mine, that had the HP manifolds, as I recall, difficult but not to bad. Combination of spark plug socket and u-joint adapter. I did though in the 70's had a 68 Barracuda with the same H code 383. That one I had to unbolt the left motor mount and jack the engine up enough to get to the #7.

    WOT the heck?

Thanks for the quick reply guys. I'm by no means a motor mount guru, but I stepped out and checked the mounts, and they appear to be fine. I revved the engine a few times in Park while looking at the driver's side mount. While the engine does move slightly when I rev it, nothing seems to really...

    Motor mount question…

Isaiah, that big hex head will rest on the pad which the mount should lie flat on. Countersink a carriage bolt head a bit, or use a flat allen socketted head. Look at Boyd's pic carefully. The rest of your motor is damned ENVIABLE! NICE!

    WOT the heck?

Usually it is the lh mount that fails, although the rh mount might if it were in the same situation. So it might be wise to Ck I ONSIDER doing both, but the lh first. Until you get there, you can get some stiff wire and loop it though the lh mount (several times) so that it will stay together...

    383 to 413 engine swap. 65 Monaco

Im confused. Please forgive me. My block does have the same motor mounts that the 383 has. They are on the side of the block. Will this work?

440 swap or build the 383?

Here's my thoughts... It really depends on what you want... You can't beat cubic inches, but the engine in your car is already running and in the car. If you find a 440 engine, it's probably not going to matter what it came out of. Unless it's already been rebuilt, a low compression engine...

    Rattle From Front End

As @Xenon says, check the left motor mount. After that, check the shocks to see if the lower bolt is loose (seen this a few times) . Since it happened after hard braking, I'd also look hard at the front strut rods. From there, it's look at ball joints and the upper and lower suspension bushings.

    Thoughts on a 64, 413???

One other thing to consider is the possible difference in torsion bar ride between poly and 413 I have a Parts 65 Newport that has the motor mount needed.
