    Sadie - 1974 Imperial LeBaron

Unless you are well versed with the removal and installation of the window motor/window regulator I would leave it alone and let a mechanic work on it. Formal window motors can take fingers off if you don't know what you are doing. I would recommend buying both FSM's on EBay or a copy from...

Doors close with a crash instead of a thunk

The Monaco doors closed with a crash also. All door seals and stops were rock hard and disintegrated upon removal. I'll adjust windows and doors if necessary after I get the new rubber installed. New roof rail seal helped the window rattle at door slam already.

Fusie 4 door hardtop window question

When new, the black "fuzz" seemed to minimize air "noise" there. With time and age, that fuzz goes away with use. I moves with the glass. I believe there are two dowels which hold it to the glass? There might be an illustration in one of the online parts books or FSM at www.mymopar.com . It...

    1966 Imperial Crown convertible

In my very first post on the car in this thread, I detailed what my intentions on the car were going to be. Here'$ what I've accomplished over the past three years of the thread: -Trunk carpet and finish panels. Also included a new tire, powder-coating the wheel, jack base and the metal tire...

Welcome Crown of 66 to FCBO!

Hey guys, thanks, this looks like an awesome forum. Before I joined I spent half an hour reading about how to avoid finger loss on the power window motor removal thread after my new 66 Crown rear passenger decided to close itself just before a major downpour! Got the car about three weeks ago...

    GJS's 67 Monaco 500 - Restoration Time

Yes, I'm counting on that. Just going slowly with the trim removal. The side parts and bottom piece having been glued in or sealed with silicon, the risk of bending it is pretty good if I don't go real slow. Once the trim is off, I'll make a map of everything on paper, get the window out and...

    Ok, I need fusie help

...not even flaking). Vinyl top is shot, probably 4 quarter size rust bubbles which tells me possibly some metal work, and probably window removal to do the repair. ATC1 but not charged, drove nice. Appears to be under 50K original miles, but no confirmation. Radiator was pushing out fluid...

I fought the HOA and I beat the system.

I think cities push developers to create HOA's. Outsourcing code enforcement and more they couldn't control via codes. 2¢ I know of several, they range from, what, we've got an HOA? to the ones you read about. 10 or 15 years ago there was great story about "dollyman" who went to war over...

    Roof vinyl panel

Owning a 68 Chrysler and been there.. Get the proper tool to remove the trim around the window or "screen". I did use a screwdriver in the past and regretted it when the unicorn trim got bent or marked from the screwdriver. Remove the bottom trin along the front screen cowl. There are screws on...

Introduction of New Yorker St. Regis 78'

The last picture looks familiar. Rust beginning in the holes around the roof trim. But it looks like the back seat is still in the car. We removed mine to get to the side panels for removal. Did you attach a visegrip to the window crank to get to the nuts on the roof trim.

Not sure what’s up with this particular car but you may want to send him a message if you’ve not already. As far as I’ve ever known, there isn’t so much a manufactured seal for the rear window, just a butyl type strip, some clips and the trim. Good luck with the aluminum... I’m afraid I’ve never...

I fought the HOA and I beat the system.

That blows! Send them a $400 bill for scratching your alloy wheel. Just how much are we talking about for the privilege of living in their estate.

Laser rust remover - anyone use or have experience?

Purely anecdotal, and focusing more on the website than the science... A few months ago, one of my kids was on Facebook and knew I was looking for a gaming computer for my youngest. She saw an ad, clicked on it, found a site with several models of high end gaming laptops, and in an effort to...

...it hasn't allowed the inner or rocker/trunk to rot, but the remains of the vinyl probably helped keep water out for a long while. Window removal should be subbed out to a pro. Just more/less flat and 90 degree metal that's in an easy place to work. Your finishing skills don't even have to be...

    Roof vinyl panel

Thankyou for your detailed information, Does the vinyl go in under rear screen rubber ? I have a new rear screen rubber that is a Steele product, says it fits 67 68 Chrysler 4 door hardtop. I got it from an ebay listing that said 67 - 68 Imperial 4 door hardtop, but looking up the original...

    Ok, I need fusie help

These are hard to price without photo's. 2dr or 4dr? The minor tic at idle is probably nothing to worry about, especially if the car has sat for a few days, probably just a lifter that had leaked down. The ATC is a major problem as parts are getting hard to come by and this system was not...

12 month restoration comes down to....
