    Had a great experience getting my brake booster and master cylinder rebuilt. Karps is in Chino ,CA. My chrome plated brake master cylinder needed to be sleeved....they used a stainless steel sleeve and the vacuum brake booster was completely rebuilt. Took them a month but they bench tested also

    I'm a D1.1 SMAW AWS Certified welder and very good at GMAW and fair at GTAW...doesn't mean I can fabricate sound modifications for brake systems that legally require a PE in mechanical engineering.

    My friend had a chrome shop here in Vegas in '80s so I got a decent deal back then on plating. The guy even nickel plated his SBC engine block and ran a 6-71 on top...in a T-bucket! Thanks for input...

    Thanks for help. Unfortunately Scarebird said their brackets won't fit my 64 300k....it's a rare build. I've had the car since 1981 and can't find but a few major performance parts for it. No headers, etc. I sent the brake booster and master cylinder out to get rebuilt at KARPS in Chino, CA...

    Regarding chrome plating suspension parts....all the parts were chrome plated 40 years ago....not one problem. The rearend and leaf springs were chrome plated as well. Thousands of miles ago with no problems.
