    Just noticed something...

I've been around Formals pretty much all my life and only now noticed another quirky thing. There were 3 Newport/ New Yorker Front Bumper stampings used on Formals: 1974- Without cooling vents : 75-76 With cooling vents...Chrysler also changed the location of the Bumperettes outboard to...

    Keys

I feel almost foolish asking this having driven Mopars my whole life, but the memory fades unfortunately, so I'm asking your help. I'm restoring my 68 Imperial Crown convertible and one of the down sides is that it has had the ignition & lock cylinders replaced along the line and the car has a...

    WANTED 68 Imperial headlight scanner

Nice to see a C body in the spotlight.

Apparently a "one of one" ordered by a crazy Canuck. This car reminds me most of the cars I saw around when I was growing up and very typical of "Canadian tastes" of the time. Very conservative (cheap) and utilitarian (spartan) in most respects (no vinyl tops etc). Only difference was that, for...

    Strange duck- NYB no A/C

Being Canadian and having grown up in the great white north, it was not a surprise in the 60's for most of the cars & trucks to have no A/C. As the 70's came on, the muscle era petered out and luxury became the rage. As such, A/C became more and more of a normal "thing" even in Canada, where you...

Calling Cantflip: I found the broadcast sheets to the Twins.

Cantflip, Still unpacking the house from the move... I found the broadcast sheets to your cars. Two for the 4 dr, one for the Coupe. Unfortunately I cleared out my conversations mailbox to make room and lost your address. Please PM me so that I can mail them to you. Mr C

Learned something about forged aluminum road wheels today...

I didn't know the red centers were reflectors. I had a set on my 78 'Doba back in the day...I guess I never caught them in the correct light. Pics below show the effect: This concludes your Mopar trivia for the day, resume normal broadcasting...

Mr C's road trip. Wagon train

Well, my tour at JBLM is coming to an end and I am posted to back to Winnipeg. My son drove his 72 Dodge half ton and I took the 77 T&C from Dupont WA to Winnipeg. We did it in 5 days so not many pics. My son's pooch photo bombed us though! The T&C got simply amazing mileage on this trip for at...

    Prom

My daughter asked to make her old man's car to prom. So proud of my Mopar girl!

    Varmints!

I took the T&C out for a spin since the weather was finally good enough for it to come out of storage. I opened the door and the stench nearly knocked me over! Clearly a mouse got into the car...I found eaten seeds and droppings on the carpet. Based on the smell I think it got under the dash...

    Mr C's Christmas Imperial

Christmas was good! Despite my storage difficulties, I could not say no to this car at the price I negotiated. I feel like I stole it. Picked it up today. Yes I need some 68 trim parts (drivers skirt and drivers front fender upper side piece).

For Sale 69 Mod Top Polara???

Not mine, but I found it interesting, so I thought I'd share. Data plate says V1F (full green vinyl top) whereas the top pattern on the car was used on 69 Satellite/ 70 Barracuda & 'Cuda and was V1Q...so probably not original. Chrysler Corp did lots of weird one offs though and this does look...

For Sale 1971 Fury Gran Coupe body

Not mine...but from the looks of the sheet metal/ interior... good heavens someone must need cheap rust free sheet metal! Or even make it road worthy again. And yes, I can't believe what this idiot did to this car...I cannot think of a justification for ruining a car this clean. 71 fury parts car

For Sale 1971 Fury Rallye Road Wheel centers (2)

As some of you here know I have been hoarding some rare and some NOS C body (mostly Formal) stuff for a while in the hope of doing some restorations of cars I've always wanted. I've been slowly selling the stuff off as I downsize and realize I can't keep up with a fleet of cars and "one day"...

    Mr C says good bye

The Imperials shipped today to their new caretaker, Cantflip. I was a beautiful day without rain (which is saying something for winter in the Pacific Northwest). I washed the cars one last time. I hope they provide Cantflip with miles of smiles and the great memories that they did for me.
