If anybody is still watching this, I found that removing the front seat and laying on your back makes accessing under the dash easier. I did not have AC, so I did not have to remove the speedometer from the dash to just change the bulbs.

Don't mess with hot glue. It is usually temperature sensitive and will probably crack and break loose if subjected to extremes. Do it right. Some short cuts are just asking for trouble. - Only my opinion - from years of bad experience.

Too bad you live so far away. I have two '66 T&C Wagons (Newport Trim) that I need to get rid of plus some '66 Newport parts including two doors. All will probably go to the scrap yard before the end of Summer. All are good for parts only. Restoration would not be practical at this point.

Woodgrain was original. My father bought the car new.

My 66 T&C was the dark red metalic paint, (maroon?, Crimson?), with a woodgrain strip in the double tracked side moulding. Sorry, no pictures - long gone with the first repaint 40 years ago.

I put air shocks on my 1966 Chrysler Station Wagon and it did wonders for the handling. Totally eliminated the sway. (45 years ago)
