    1966 Newport speedo cluster lights

If anybody is still watching this, I found that removing the front seat and laying on your back makes accessing under the dash easier. I did not have AC, so I did not have to remove the speedometer from the dash to just change the bulbs.

NOT MINE 1966 Chrysler Windsor 2 Dr HT 383 Auto $3,800 CAD ($2800 USD) also front C-body subframe Woodstock Ontario (Canada)

I have a complete 1966 Chrysler Newport front end, subframe, fenders, hood, and all that has been buried in my garage since 1982. It is clean, no rust or dents. The grill and bumper are a little pitted, but it is complete. The rest of the car is structurally compromised because of my...

    Trim clips

Don't feel too bad. Like I said, I've done worse. I've found a lot of ways NOT to do stuff.

    Trim clips

Don't mess with hot glue. It is usually temperature sensitive and will probably crack and break loose if subjected to extremes. Do it right. Some short cuts are just asking for trouble. - Only my opinion - from years of bad experience.

    Firewall rustout

Too bad you live so far away. I have two '66 T&C Wagons (Newport Trim) that I need to get rid of plus some '66 Newport parts including two doors. All will probably go to the scrap yard before the end of Summer. All are good for parts only. Restoration would not be practical at this point.

    1966 Chrysler "Color swoop"

Woodgrain was original. My father bought the car new.

    1966 Chrysler "Color swoop"

My 66 T&C was the dark red metalic paint, (maroon?, Crimson?), with a woodgrain strip in the double tracked side moulding. Sorry, no pictures - long gone with the first repaint 40 years ago.

    Phantom C bodies

I am still in NJ. I have everything you would have needed to fix the front end of Mathilda and build a "Chryslerado" with enough left over to sell for parts. I also have two decent longer doors from a 2-door Newport that I was going to try to use and the chrome door trim to go with them...

    Phantom C bodies

I really liked the look of those mid-sixties Coronets also. I still have this thing and will need to get rid of it before next winter as I am retiring to another state and can't take it with me. I call her the "Chryslerado". Two almost complete 1966 T&C Wagons plus a lot of '66 Newport parts...

    Phantom C bodies

These are some of the pictures scanned from my photo album from 1981. The car has been buried in my garage since I got married in 1982 in this condition. Very little rust. The front end was painted and put back together. I will try to get it out of the garage before Summer to get current...

    Phantom C bodies

That was already done. I had 2-1/2 cars and should have enough to complete the project. I just don't have the time, money, or skills necessary to do it right. I stripped the Newport 2-door and saved the front end and everything else that was compatible plus a lot that isn't. The original...

    Phantom C bodies

I started one over 40 years ago, but Life got in the way. It is still in the garage buried under a lot of crap. It was a 1966 Town & Country wagon cut off into a pickup like an El Camino. Pretty much Gerald's Dream, without the fancy power plant. It needs major support underneath. I was going...

Mathilda, Our Lovely 66 Newport, Wantonly DESTROYED by a Gen Xcrement Sociopath!

Gerald, So sorry to hear about your loss. I probably have everything you need to fix Tilly. 66 Newport front sub frame, fairly clean right front fender, inner fenders, and hood, none of them dented. The bumper is somewhat pitted though. Unfortunately I live over 2500 miles away and the...

    Let's see some Wagons!

I have two of these for parts. I will need to get them out of here (NJ) before the end of summer. I would hate to just send them to the junk yard if anyone needs anything.

How difficult would this dumb idea be?

    Beautiful - Love those cars.

    Welcome Jersey Jake to FCBO!

If anyone needs any parts from this and another '66 Town & Country wagon I have, let me know before summer. I have extra sets of all of the chrome and stainless steel trim. Also two complete drive trains, suspensions front sub frames, etc. 383 Engine, trans, stock rears complete with axles...

    Sway bar 1961 Newport

Like CBODY67 says, do some measuring. I tried to put the rear axle with the sway bar from a 1972 Dodge Police Cruiser on my 1966 Chrysler years ago. Had the springs mounted and went to put it under the car, the spring mounts were almost 2 inches wider than my frame and I could not use it. I...

    Welcome Jersey Jake to FCBO!

That was 45 years ago. I was young and impulsive. Would still like to see it done, but is way beyond my means now. Still, I would hate to see them go to the boneyard after keeping them all these years. I wanted to move the power rear window and D posts up behind the B posts and be able to...

    Sway bar 1961 Newport

I put air shocks on my 1966 Chrysler Station Wagon and it did wonders for the handling. Totally eliminated the sway. (45 years ago)
