    My Forward Looks..

I couldn't agree with you more on doing it yourself and on a budget. That's how the whole 'Hot Rodding' craze began. Still very possible today if you just think it out, plan how to approach and do it. I'm doing the same once my garage is set up. All of your cars are amazing to look at. Best of...

    Another,AnotherAnother,Another 1961 FURY

That is an AMAZING looking car you have there. Looks to be quite a lot of work bringing her back but sounds to me like you've done this before. She will be awesome when you have her completed. Best of luck !!

Trying to determine what my recently purchased '59 Coronet color is

Looks like I'll have to contact the seller for that photo of the VIN tag if I want to get this correct. Won't be for some time anyhow but still wanna know what she's gonna look like. Thanks all for your input !

Trying to determine what my recently purchased '59 Coronet color is

Yes I have to admit, looking at that back window makes me shudder. A good wash-n-scrub might make the paint actually look correct for what it is.

Trying to determine what my recently purchased '59 Coronet color is

That is something I would most definitely prefer. However there are a few locations on the body where it looks like a paint had been put on it. Again, I'm over 1400 miles away from it now so can't look up close. Lower driver's door and passenger side rear door and quarter panel. Also, the...

Trying to determine what my recently purchased '59 Coronet color is

I only have some exterior photos of the car while I was there last week. It's staying in Kansas in storage while I'm in Long Island N.Y. But yes , inside door frame and trunk area would give me a better idea of the original colors.

Trying to determine what my recently purchased '59 Coronet color is

Believe me, any and all answers and opinions are well appreciated. I will contact the seller for a vin photo at some point, but at the moment he's trying to get the dual exhaust from the Y-Pipe back installed and just finished replacing with a NEW passenger side axle, bearing set and seal.( he...

Trying to determine what my recently purchased '59 Coronet color is

Thanks for the compliments. It is a very solid car. Frame and all floor sections have only surface rust, nothing going through. The seller having it on a lift makes that easy. I have that side chrome and nearly all else. I've since brought back home to Long Island all of the chrome trim pieces...

Trying to determine what my recently purchased '59 Coronet color is

Thank you for asking your Brother for me. I just poured over Dodge, Plymouth, Desoto and Chrysler paint charts from 1959 and those two colors don't show up anywhere. I know all car makers call the same color by a different name but Sahara Beige and Fawn are never mentioned. I believe that the...

Trying to determine what my recently purchased '59 Coronet color is

I actually did post it there yesterday morning continuing from my earlier post of purchasing this car, but throughout the day it received no responses so I moved it here. Now I'm thinking I should have started a new post there instead.

Trying to determine what my recently purchased '59 Coronet color is

So I recently purchased this '59 Dodge as posted earlier. In my excitement while going over the car with the gent who sold it to me, I neglected to take photos of the VIN Plate as well as the entire dash and seats. (DUH !) The car is in Kansas and I'm here in Suffolk County New York. I've been...

Purchased 1959 Dodge Coronet Lancer Coupe

Beautiful Machine. I'm just learning but it looks like a Royal Lancer/Deluxe Lancer maybe ? Mine doesn't have the scallops on the rear quarter panels and has CORONET in script on the fender fronts where this one has an emblem of sorts. However mine does have the factory twin antennas.
