sixpkrt is probably correct. I didn't think of that.

Sill Plate Extensions - screw hole?

I think they got the year wrong. Looks more like a door sill from the early 1960's but I could be wrong. Anyhow, it doesn't look like the door sill on my 1970 Chrysler.

300 Hurst broadcast sheet - velour interior?...Help please

Wow, you guys know a lot more than I do. I just wanted a unique car to restore and drive around rather than a 68 Mustang or 70 Camaro RS, which I've owned and loved driving them, but they made like millions of those, so there's nothing unique about them. Since you guys implied the old guy I...

300 Hurst broadcast sheet - velour interior?...Help please

Thanks guys. So some old guy at a car show said "Imp set up" was a special order from a customer and most of them had to do with an interior change. Back then any C body could be had with Imperial seats and door skins by placing a special order with the factory. Since my build sheet had "Imp...

Anyone know how to fix a 1970 300 window switch..or have one for sale?

Driver door window switch is flopping around like the springs are shot and I have to play with it for window to work. Once a positive connection is made, window goes down and up fast so motor should be OK. The other windows work fine. Its not the wire connections since I hard wired each...

1970 300 door pulls (saddle tan)

Hi Saforwardlook - I like the black pulls and armrests better which match the rest of the interior. I don't like the speakers on the doors but they were already cut out when I got it. Bought car off Ebay for $1,000 because its a real 300 Hurst and I wanted a driver, not a trailer queen. Beat...

1970 300 door pulls (saddle tan)

Or you could do what I did, (but only if your not looking for any awards or trophies). 1)Go to the junk yard, Spend $20 for pulls off most 1970-1982 Lincolns (or I think any 1970's luxury car will have them), cut a little of the leather off, drill a couple holes in the pulls where you need...

300 Hurst broadcast sheet - velour interior?...Help please

I wanted to post the actual letterhead from engineers at Chrysler but couldn't find it. Letter stated drivetrain engineers said only the passenger Pentastar is needed, because that's the only side of the car the competition will see as Mopars speed by them in the fast lane. Silly, isn't...

300 Hurst broadcast sheet - velour interior?...Help please

After all the replies, I agree the interior was changed...and I think for the best. These velour seats are just much more comfortable than the original leather. I'll chalk it up to all the other changes I made. Most non mopar guys can't spot them, but you guys will notice. Here are some. 1)...

Ideas Where to put Aftermarket Oil gauge in Newport?

My mechanical oil gauge hasn't leaked one drop in over 18 years but I'm still worried about that. Anyhow, if you want mechanical, Buy a brass T connector and hook it up where the oil dummy light is located. Route it though one of the existing electrical holes in the firewall. No drilling, so...

300 Hurst broadcast sheet - velour interior?...Help please

I found build sheet under velour seat, which seemed to be untouched (but who knows after 50 yrs). Why do I have velour/leather seats when every other 300 Hurst has all leather seats? Previous owner didn't know but said doors used to be velour fabric as well but were changed because original...
