Wifey called about a noise coming from her wagon

Guess what? My other wagon just decided to leak anti-freeze all over the place. When it rains it pours. Got a new water pump coming in this week. I decided to call the guy that rebuilt my 727. He also does rear axles. My son and I pulled it out yesterday and I'll drop it off this week. We were...

Wifey called about a noise coming from her wagon

I am going to start pulling all the brake hardware. Taking axles out is new to me. I've never done it before. Do I have to remove the pumpkin to release the axles?

Tires are good. No issues there. All the lugs were tight.

    Is this Monaco worth $2500?

If it's something you really like then go for it. I've got wayyyyyy too much into my 65 Belvedere wagon but I love it. I won't sell it and no one will give me what I have into it. If you can do more than 50% of the work then it's a plus. That's why this is a hobby. Hobbies cost money.

Ok, the Timken sounds good. I do have a press so that's not an issue.

Wifey called about a noise coming from her wagon

Just looking around the web. This is the kit from Dr Diff. Is this pretty much what I need to do it all? It's a 67 Fury wagon. Looks to be an 8 3/4 rear (I'm pretty sure it's the standard rear for all big wagons of that era). It's wifey's wagon so I really don't need super high performance. With...

Wifey called about a noise coming from her wagon

So if that's the case I have never done that before. I take it I have to remove all the brake hardware first?

Wifey called about a noise coming from her wagon

I have the rear wheels off and the brake drums off. As I turn it by hand it is not smooth, making a little rubbing/grinding sound and the axle shafts have some play in it. I can move it back and forth some and a little up and down. Both sides. I take it that's not normal?

Wifey called about a noise coming from her wagon

I got a call last night from my wife. She's in her 67 Fury wagon and says there's a noise coming from the left rear and the car is shaking while going down the road. She made it home ok but I hope she didn't do more damage. Guess what I'm doing after work today?

67 Fury wagon dome light lens

Taking off the dome light to change the bulb and the lens is pretty cracked. It will go back on but it is fragile. Anyone here deal with new repops?

    Watkins Glen Speedway

My wife and I took our 67 Fury wagon on a roadtrip to upstate New York. For $30 you can take your car on the track for 3 laps following a pace vehicle and then picture ops. A few regular vehicles with some newer Mustangs and Challengers. The old wagon kept right up and hit a blistering 70mph on...

    67 Fury tailgate motor issue

No I haven't. But I did contact the Headlight Motor man. He has a good one that he will sell me.

    67 Fury tailgate motor issue

I don't think the plastic gear would handle the weight of the tailgate window.

    67 Fury tailgate motor issue

So this link is for 50s Mopar tailgate repair. I sent them my 67 Fury wagon worm gear assembly and they returned it. Said it was too different from the 50s style. Back to square one. Anyone know of a place? I have the electric motor out being rebuilt right now. I need this worm gear done. Thanks
