Nice car!!!!!!!
Texaco station...……
C.J.'s Lubritorium
Kalamazoo, Mi

Great photos- at a lubritorium, no less....... what a beauty, and the wheels are a perfect period touch........ was this a special mid-year spring model, or a "regular" Dodge, which was anything BUT regular in 1958.......

Gorgeous! What is the context for the photos - for sale listing or something?

I am not too informed about the Spring Specials in 1958 - it looks like this is a Coronet Spring Special.

So does that mean that the Spring Special version of the Custom Royal Series was the Regal Lancer?

I have one of the latter to restore, but still unsure of the Corporations marketing scheme overall at that time to juice mid-year sales?

It has been a long term dream for me to do this one Graham (should I leave it in my will for you? :poke:). I finally have everything I need to do a complete restoration, except one piece of interior rear armrest trim. I will find it though! Gary Goers from Kalispel, Montanna also made for me a full reproduction interior, all the little grommets and myriad other parts that he reproduced before he mostly closed his business due to health issues. He has been a long term friend whom I have known for almost 50 years. I could not have done my 300C to the level I wanted without his assistance either, and that was some 30 years ago. For those newer to the forum, this is the car:

According to the Ditzler Paint Chip Chart, there were three "spring" colors for Dodge as of 2-28-1958 : Poppy, Paris Rose Poly and Frosted Turquoise Poly. This car appears to be Poppy - code RRR. Mopar would typically make the Spring colors "regular colors" for the following year.

Beautiful car! One of my favorites. Spring cars are very special. I have a '57 4 door hardtop waiting to be restored.
