Yes, but they actually protruded from the side of the console rather than on top of it, although in 1960 the Chrysler 300Fs had 4 speed shifters that did come up through the center of the console. But that French gear box was used one year only (it was also used in Facel Vegas first and was called a "pont a mousson" gear box, but really was't durable enough for the Chrysler applications) and was replaced by the 3 speed Chrysler manual transmission in 1961 and later 300s.

yes all correct and worded very well. My car has the 3 speed manual trans on my '62 300 Convertible.

Finally got a little time on the wagon. Floors are super clean. Seats are in decent shape, unfortunately the rats have eaten most of the padding out of the front seat.

Okay , but does anyone know or seen a 62 wagon 3spd on the floor or better a3spd console-car or were these never made.......?

The only consoles in 1962 were on the letter series 300H. I believe a 3 speed manual was available on a wagon, but I have never seen one as far as I can recall. The Torqueflite is so good, I can't imagine anyone really wanting a 3 speed.

Okay......if there,s one around it would probably be a 361/383 newport wagon.........!?!

Cleaned the seats up a little and re-installed them. When I bought the car the interior was completely taken apart. The previous owner had taken everything apart to clean up the rat mess. So I am tasked with attempting to put everything back together without being the one who took it apart

Slowly plugging away when I have spare time. Cleaned out the fuel tank, lines, rebuilt carb and put a new fuel pump on the wagon. It’s running and seems to be ok. Smoked a lot af first, but cleared up a little. Found the original air cleaner buried in the spare tire well. Next on the list is trying to get the brakes functioning enough to maybe cruise around the neighborhood
