1962 Chrysler New Yorker Town & Country 6P Station Wagon - $11000 (Byron)

Original Rosewood, now black. Rebuilt 413 engine, new front disc brakes complete including new calipers, spindles from 78 New Yorker, rear end from 70s C-Body. Last driven summer of 2011, ran well. Stored in garage last 9 years. Pushed out of garage on 4/8/20, brake pedal goes to floor, suspect gas tank needs replacement.

Hardtop wagons are very cool in my opinion. It would need a real good going over but would be worth it in the end. Damn tires aren't helping any.

Lots of potential. What does rosewood look like?

Definately would need to be looked at closely but wow, what potential. I like black but this doesn't look like it was a quality paint job. More importantly, why would someone choose to go from Rosewood to Black on a NY Wagon hardtop. Rosewood is classy, this car's paint job is flat and the white top, black wall tires and poverty caps make it look like a utility vehicle.

Interesting car if i was looking for one…..
Than i would like to know how it is with rust , specially around the headlights .
If that,s good and the interior is nice & original the price isn,t that bad....!

Where's the rest of the side trim? I'm pretty sure all New Yorkers had trim all the way up the side like the Rosewood one pictured. The one I had did too.

The cars pictured in post #3 and #10 Are not New Yorkers so they have different trim.

New Yorkers have trim at lower body and wheel wells that runs the length of the car. And on the top of fenders and body lines. You can see it on the black car, the trim looks right on it.

Had to look this up—The Newport Town & Country had more fancy trim on the sides than the New Yorker, which seems odd. But the NYer had a better grille.
