Well, here I go again.

I had a 1962 Chrysler 300 as my first car and used it when I went to college and I also took it to Chrysler back in Michigan when I worked for them in Highland Park engineering. It was never driven in salt though, ever and has never had any rust or any significant dents. None.

I gave it to a friend of mine a while back after he helped me restore a bunch of my other cars and did a lot of the engines in them and this one was his favorite. I have known him well for about 36 years now. He has been informed that he is ill and will not recover from it, so he and his wife asked me to put it up for sale.

It is now up for sale after being restored from a really good condition to start with. It is another one that will be very hard to see go.

Here are a few photos of it. Only if you have real interest in it, please let me know. I can then send you over a hundred photos of it, but please only seriously interested persons. It is priced in the upper $20s but also taking offers.

H or 300 Sport?

It is a Sport now equipped with the available "Firepower 380 package" that was a standard on the 300H. Before the restoration, it was a "Firepower 340 package" option that was the 413 single 4 bbl equipped engine. The 383 cu. in. engine was standard in the 300 Sports.

Sorry to hear about your friend, Steve. Good luck with the sale. The only pic that loaded was the engine compartment. Is this your black '62?

Hmm, Scott, my computer is showing all 5 photos that I loaded. Yes, this is the black one that I used to own - my first car.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend....that's a rough turn of events.

I remember seeing this '62 in person a couple years ago and it is stunning. Hopefully you find a good home for her.
