Cbarge.... I'm very interested in this set up. Where do you get it? You posted a pic, with no other info. I did the wire to alt already... thanks! Great suggestion. It makes a huge difference. Nice to know I'm not pushing that much amperage through the firewall anymore. Thanks, JR

A small update, I got a new Offenhauser intake and a Super Bee 3.23 (489 #9 case) rear differential. The Holley carb that was on the car when I got it fits the Offy, so I will try this combo out while rebuilding the original Carter. I have new tires ready to swap on, but I'll take a double rear tire burnout video before taking the originals off. They are pretty worn so I'll give them a Viking Funeral.
So the intake I posted above was labeled as being for an RV block, but it's really for a 383, so it had to go back. I found the correct Offy intake and also fell into a QFT 750 with nice metering blocks and a pretty cool secondary setup. No choke. The QFT fuel hose is a cool polished fitting with braided stainless flexible hose. This inspired me to use more braided hose through the engine bay. Also came into a set of original Cal Custom valve covers. I found a PCV breather setup that would fit (Spectre 4290) and installed this. Rerouted the coolant lines over to the wheel well. I am working on some stainless clamps or brackets to hold these in place. Also wired in new headlights that have the option for halos for daytime running lights. I love the look of halos behind the decorative glass, a really cool visual effect.
I got those nice stainless ARP bolts all over, and ordered some vintage 1960s thumbscrew hose clamps to add a nice finishing touch on the stainless lines
