Hi folks!

Not mine/affiliated...

Wha 's wrong with it? Why still available? Is 65 a less preferred year due having the 413cui eng. only and the 440 comming just one year after?

Like this car very much, especially for beeing a police car...but too much water between my place and the U.S.

Is this car already known here or even got inspected by some member?

Thanks,
Toby

I believe this was up once before ... I can't find it off hand but the ad was from before it was pulled out of the hole it was in .. I remember the photo of it sitting on its frame in the dirt ... sorry to say.. or perhaps I'm wrong.

Hey TobiasM. I can only speculate why it hasn't sold as I have no knowledge of this car in particular. (Yeah, GJS is right, we've seen it here at least once recently, or one similar??)

Asking price not outrageous, BUT i'd never pay that without looking at it. And to drag me 2500 miles to see it, or even send someone out to look at it, the seller would need to provide more pics/doc/corroboration on the pedigree and condition (originality remaining, will it take another car to save this one? etc.) of this car. that could be done with a phone call/emails i suspect if this is as good as the ad will get.

curious on the color differences .. is this car blue or white? same car?

anyway, I think its a cool, "uncommon to see today" kinda police car. laying eyes on it would probably be a good idea in any event.

Thanks for replies, guys!

Crawled the topics in this section before and couldn't find this car beeing discussed, so I thought this was a good one to share...sorry if this might be a reposted car.

The circumstances of been found sittin on its frame and rottin for sure isn't too promising. Also have the impression that this car probably has serious rust-isssues...but that was only a guess by these 3 photos the seller gives us.

Price is a bit hefty, I think, cause there had been that 1971 Chp Polara 440 for sale for only 2.5k which was at this price also a big project, but definatrly the more demanded year and engine combo.

Anyway, hope this 65 police Polara is the right car for someone and somebody saves this car.

P.S.: this ad had another front-perspective picture initially, where you could see the car sitting on the trailer as it still does in the rearview photo, so it's the same car...especially with the remarkable spot on the door where the black paint makes it way through again and the overall odd blue-ish/primerish colorscheme.

Strange to me also, that this car doesn't have tinted windows and white steering wheel, though Californian police, but maybe these two options where exclusively on chp-cars.

No problem, Tobias! I may very well be incorrect about having seen this one before .. now that I think on it, something is telling me that the other was a 66.
Anyway, I hope someone wants to love her!
