Racking my brain on a good place to mount a small Tach. Any suggestions and pics would be appreciated. Steering column is out since the only decent place to mount it and keep it clean looking rotates with the column shifter. I already have a 3 set gauge mounted under the dash ashtray...pic just for attention, she's slowly coming along.

Here's what I did:
The trim between the speedo and the ammeter and the prnd12 gauge.
is screwed in from the bottom.
I took a piece of aluminum (could use steel) cut it in the fashion shown (white and red piece)
That can be slid under the trim (it is sturdy potmetal) and will be clamped tight when the screw is tightened.
then mount your Tach on that! I have yet to run the wires.

No I have the blank, just can't bring myself to cut anything on the dash. View attachment 511536

That clock blank is just held on with a couple of screws from the back. For me I don't think that shape is really suited for a tach and the location even less but if ya gotta have one... A digital one might be an option there tho and you could maybe fab it so it's tilted towards you.
