That is one massive piece of glass in the back. What are the chances of ever having to replace that?

Nice Barracuda!

A better question would be what are the chances of ever finding that glass if you needed one.

With a 150 speedo it must be a formula S but I don't see the badges in the pix. If it waz a '65 I might have to pop the 4K but I hate the '66 grill. The '65 /6 with a 4 spd. and 3 side draft Webers just has to be done by somebody some day.

Perhaps someone added the speedo to the car

Give me a few to look up, I do enjoy a well designed fixture.

Nick

1955 Studebaker President Speedster for example. I don't care a lot for strip speedos in general though they were popular in the day including my 70 Chrysler.

Never a fan of these cars however I do like the '67-9 fastbacks much better.

I second that. In fact if I had to choose a Baracuda it would be one of them.

I'm guessing you guyz have never driven the 2nd generation fastbacks? Those puppies had blind spots that would and did hide a Semi. Nice carz but good on the 1320' only where lookin' back or to the side isn't an issue and where thow shall not change lanes

You're right about the fastbacks. But my choice would have been this hardtop anyways.

I picked up a '68 drop top Factory under dash A/C in '89 and completly took it down and brought it back for my wife in about 2 years. She-We put 4500 miles on the car from then 'til '03 When I was informed that she didn't want to drive it anymore. It went to a new home to the 1st couple that looked at it!

THere is a super clean 65 for sale near me that I am always tempted to buy. It keeps getting cheaper all the time. It looks to be at least 95% complete if not more. The wife actually stumbled on it sent me some photos. She fell in love with it.....until the body shop bills for my Polara started rolling in. Then she lost interest. But it is a 273, bucket seat, floor shift auto, A/C car. 574745_346651375445778_50368470_n.jpg

Too bad it's not a 4 spd W/the leaning tower of power. I think even Doug Dutra would get excited with that set up and 3 side draft webbers hangin' on it. Too bad, '65 is my year for the 1st generation.

I never saw the interest in those

I must admit that I didn't either, but they are kinda growing on me. I used to be in love with all the "cookie cutter" mopars. Cudas, RR's, chargers, darts, etc. now I have more appreciation for the "odd ball" stuff that you don't see row after row of at the car shows. I would like to try my hand at one of these goofy looking barracudas....they look so mean tubbed with a monster tire stuffed under them. But the '62 Polara is high on my next money pit list.

I always liked these early Barracudas, Yeah I'm partial because we used to own one. Complete with a racing stripe down the roof, hood and deck.
