Hello everyone,
Would any of you guys please help me determine a price point for my car. I am looking to sell it but don't know a realistic price for it. I want to sell it to fund another project. It has been garage kept it's whole life as far as I know, at least since 1982 when the man I bought it from bought it from the original owner. It has spent its entire life in South Carolina. It is in original condition except it had a repaint to the exterior about 30 years ago. The interior is original, carpet, seat upholstery, floormats, etc.. It cranks up easy and drives amazing. I don't have a picture of the engine bay or trunk at this time but they are in very nice condition. Has original spare tire and is numbers matching car. I have the certicard, 2 broadcast sheets, window sticker, and owners manual provided by dealership.
Issues needing addressing:
-The passenger side quarter window needs a window track double roller (aluminum style c-shaped one with double wheels) as the one that glides on the front curved track is broken.
-The car has sat in the previous owners car garage for an unknown amount of years without regular driving and as a result the transmission shifts kinda hard. I think the seals/valves within the trans might be hard or stuck. It may need some transmission conditioner and driving to soften everything up? I'm not sure, I'm not a mechanic.
-It has a couple paint chips here and there which is typical for a 55 year old car but overall it is in great shape IMHO. The bumpers are nice but need to be rechromed a some point.
The underside of the car looks great. There is no rust that I can find anywhere. Overall it's a really nice unmolested car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all!
Best,
