Nice car, but waaay overpriced. Even from a European standpoint.

Now, if he would replace that self-made dash pad with an original one, have the (cracked?) rimblow steering wheel restored, then it would be a well over 10K car.

This car was brought up in a previous post, and Chris mentioned that the duchman panel paint was flaking and peeling as I recall. He saw it at the recent Fall Fling event in Van Nuys, CA., where the above photos were apparently taken. To claim that it is in like new condition is pretty close to fraud from what I have seen and heard, especially at that asking price. Even the seat covers are not faithful reproductions. Ridiculous. Maybe Lakeland is moving West....................

It does seem to be contagious... I blame television... but the folk who bombard CL, EB and other sources with ridiculous priced adds help convince the TV crowd they can do this too... I don't mind someone making a legitimate profit when they do something good to a car or find one and help honestly rehome it... but who doesn't go upside down into a car they build for love?

Pretty shoddy restoration.....one too many zero's on the price.

he is a major liar.
It even doesn't have a fender tag which it should when it is in "like new condition"

OK, I have to be devil's advocate. I think we are perhaps confusing 'restored' with 'restored to original condition'. IMHO that car has been restored, and I cannot fault the seller for saying so. He may not be a C-body guy, may not even be a car guy, and to him, or an average Joe, it would be reasonable to assess that car as 'like new'. I also don't see anything about this car that suggests it was turd-polished, there was much love and $$ on this one. Also - whether it was 'restored' back to our own standards is immaterial -- it is advertised on CL, not here.

It appears to have a very nice paintjob, and the gold accents are kinda cool, subtle and classy. (I can't see the Dutchman paint up close so I make no assessment of it). Chrome looks excellent also.

Is the dashpad unappealing to me? Yes. But it, and the seats and doorpanels, were all probably done by the same trim shop in a 1-shot deal, and maybe Just Dashes wasn't on the radar. The doorpanels and seats are fabulous -- I see lots of Legendary covers in restored cars with wrinkles in them, and these doorpanels have nice straight boards and no visible attaching screws along hte edges like some shops use. (although the seats are crooked???)

Is it overpriced? To us it is, for what it is, but for the circles some people roll in maybe it's not? And maybe that's his audience?

Possy - Homerr is mocking the seller's misnomer of 'posi', for positraction, and Mopar guys mock any guy that refers to a SureGrip as a posi'.

And so it's joke time again. Little Johnny comes home from school sad. Dad asks what's wrong, and the boy says he aced his math test but failed-out in the 1st round of a spelling bee that day. Dad asks him what word he misspelled (mispelled?) and Johnny says 'possie'. Dad says 'I'm not surprised you couldn't spell it, you can't even say it right'...
