The original /6 in the 69 Satty would have been a 1bbl holley with a whopping 100HP. Obviously the original engine is long gone.
the Super Six came out in the late 70's and early 80's with the same Carter 2bbl carb used on the 318's and a 10HP boost.
Not a bad motor once you eliminate all the emmisions crap and vacuum amplifier and advance the timing.

Kinda, sorta, maybe interesting in way that I can easily dismiss outside of sentimental value to someone.

Yea I was on the fence about posting it when I only saw the brake pedal.

I had a high school buddy that had a '69 beige Belvedere 4 door with a /6, three speed. Looking back, that car provided a way outta town and a million good times. Gee now I want one.....

Yea at least that's better than the early 60's Ford Falcon that me and a couple of friends without our licenses would ride around in high school. (we didn't get no chicks)
The friend that parents had that car, his father (alcoholic missile scientist) would make us all come in down to his basement workshop and give us some complicated mathematical equation to solve before he would cough up the keys. We quickly learned to shift him over to telling us about one of his many model planes, the what'ya call'em remote control kind, and sure enough he'd forget all about the answer to the math question. heh.
Once that friend got a 66 or 67 GTO with a 4spd & girlfriend we never saw him again.
No worries by then I'd made friends with the owner of my first PK21.

Happy Daze...
