So here we go... after spending the last 5 months fixing up this beast of a C-body I'm hoping to get it to a new home where it will be enjoyed and appreciated for what it is. First off I have a general rebuild thread here: http://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-forum/showthread.php?6980-Another-newbie-but-not-to-Mopars and my thread for the 383 overhaul: http://www.forcbodiesonly.com/mopar-forum/showthread.php?8445-My-383-teardown-w-pics.

This is one bada$$ '69 Polara; came from the factory with 383 4-bbl, heavy duty (D32) Torqueflite, and sure-grip 8 3/4 rear with 2.76 gears (could use 3.23's but whatever). Also has a new exhaust system bend to Chrysler specs and with glasspack mufflers (sounds sweet!) I have the original broadcast sheet with all the options, this was actually a spec-ordered car NOT bought off a dealer lot if that says anything about its uniqueness. Supposedly from what the previous owner (owner of Joyride Motorsports restoration shop here in Denver) said the car was ordered by a guy who wanted a full-size car but could still keep up with the Camaros and Mustangs around town. Not sure if I can believe that as the 2.76 gears and 4200 lb weight makes it a pig off the line but once you get up over 20 MPH and that 383 starts spinning watch out... lol

Here's my local Denver Craigslist ad: http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/4147802219.html I'm looking for $4700 OBO, might seem like a lot just from looking at the car but I guarantee if you DRIVE it you will feel the work that I've put into the car. It simply drives flawlessly; all the mechanicals are new so it drives like a new C-body, absolutely no wandering or sketchy feelings over rough ground (at any speed) this thing just glides like it was built to.

It is definitely and absolutely a cool car. The kind of cool that makes me wish I had the bucks. Good Luck I hope it goes to a good home.

The car is certainly worth it but the market is still unfriendly at that price. Wish they'd catch up to us.

That is an honest price ............ I asked $4000 for my brown 71 and took $3,500 to the first guy that knocked. Your $4,700 is right there!

Ahh seriously don't tempt me lol... every mile I put on this car after finishing it just makes me fall in love with it more. I wish so badly I could keep it but the money I get from this will go towards finally swapping an 8 3/4 rear into my Duster which I've been wanting to do for a couple years now. Someday I want to get a nice-looking convertible C-body to cruise around in but for now it's all about making the Duster a racing machine lol.

Polara71 that car is GORGEOUS, I wish mine had paint like that... although the engine looks pretty nice if I do say so myself. What kind of engine setup did yours have?
