Wow, that’s really solid. I would have thought sunk up to the rockers it would be toast, but I guess that’s the difference between an east coast and a west coast car.

Eastern Washington is dry, real dry. It's not the Seattle like moisture zone. That moisture gets blocked by the mountains.
However you are correct, since I bought my first 71 two door from there 20 plus something years ago I learned Pacific Northwest cars are the best all around cars to have, Southwest for solid metal and North for good interiors. The East has little good qualities to mention.

Nice job Dave. Does this one give you the itch to do another one?

Yeah, I've been looking for another 71. Not as nice as Blue, though I really would like her back. Something decent that I can do things to.
I still gotta get the driveline done in Missouri. The move slowed me down.

Its been an interesting story in trying to get this car to the east coast. Working on arranging the transport to finally get her here and solidify my convertible.

I obviously couldn't push the car onto the trailer myself, too poor to have my own trailer let alone a winch. I blocked and chocked the trailer and pulled the car onto the trailer with the truck.

Smart Dave. I’ve been doing that for just shy of 40 years, works fantastic.

I put a 40+ year old cinder block between the trailer tires.

Also let air out of tires, chain rear and front, then air up tires.
