I don't remember there being a lot of Fury II cars when they were new. Either stripped Fury I fleet cars or Fury III personal cars.

I'm tempted to look at it, only 1 hr S of my summer lake place in VT, and I'm there now for the holiday weekend. If it had a 318 I'da been there already, really miss my '71 F3, sold 5 yrs ago... the '70 F3 convert we sold 4 yrs ago, not so much...actually liked the sedan better.

That has been for sale for at least 4 years I know of. Have never looked atbitbin person, but seems sonething must be not good with it

Maybe nothing's wrong except for the price on a car that is not desirable to most.

Unless there's a serious engine knock or it seemingly doesn't have any floorboards at all - I couldn't imagine something not being good with it. I think its more likely that most people aren't inclined to buy a 4-Door, Pillared, Fury II Sedan, with a Slant-6, bench seats and a column car.

Its a stunning car IMO that can only truly be appreciated by other enthusiast like us. Unfortunately; it seems the rest of the population doesn't only forget, but doesn't want to remember average cars like this. We'd rather only remember 2-Door, Sport Roof, Console, 440-6, 4-Specd, R/T SE Cars.

One of the reasons why Full SIze American Classics often end in Europe.
We like big boats

'muricans like boats alright...especially if they are convertibles, coupes or wagons... 4 drs were always everywhere, every family had them, so it's hard to think of them, even now after 40-50 years, as anything special. Luckily we love 4 drs, and prices are right. We have a coupe DeSoto, but also a sedan DeSoto, a 4 door Hardtop '68 Caprice, and are considering a 4 dr Sport Fury...some of us do really appreciate them here, 4 doors are the best friend of the not-so-wealthy car enthusiast.
