Fender tag pic would be cool
what is the bracket over the lh control arm for ?
Maybe Siren mount.. Just a guess.
The (2) grounding straps in either side of the hood tells me it’s the real deal. Did that for all the extra equipment accessorizes.. I believe.
Ground straps from the hood and else where were for static suppression. Motorola radios in the early 70's were putting out 50+ watts of transmitting power and a certain amount of that output showed up as static. Not all cruisers had the straps, but they were part of some police packages and some were added as the cars were outfitted with radios. Cars without the straps tended to shock the driver when the exterior door handle was touched.
This car also has the battery heat shield next to the radiator, another bit of police optioning.
Cool! Thanks for posting
HI is this car still for sale? Whats with the '70 plymouth colt' ?
Not for sale anymore a guy in NY bought it for the police parts battery shield, oil pressure gauge and 140. The car is very rotted was ordered with power windows you don't see that to often in a cop car.
Hey thanks for getting to my question. I have pretty much the same car-electric windows and all, and I'd give anything to get the trunk 'fury I' emblem, and that siren holder, even the old cop shocks!!!
I can get this old cop car for pretty cheap I already grabbed the ticket light and battery shield and fast idle from it.
Looks like the cop car from 'Brewster McCloud' (1970)
Funny how that dark blue 70 Fury morphs back and forth into a medium blue 67/68 Fury during the chase.
