No.I,m on facebook. The above is a very recent photo.Car is still there. It shows on Mopars for under 15,000 site. The guy wanted 1200.00 for it with no buyers.I mean somebody with a little money on the side can just fix that roof and take time with the rest. The interior alone should sell the car.I just don, thave the money to fix that roof and evrything else with the body.B.B
Yep, ad is still up, but he's not responding to further messages. Had a few asking to buy the whole car, including a demo derby wingnut.

Marv, Is this on facebook marketplace? I can't seem to find it.

No it was posted in the group >>Imperials 1955-1975<<
There have been several requests in the answer section for the whole cart. So chances are that it gets flipped and might be restored. According to the new owner it's pretty rusty

At 800 just for the seats your better of buying the whole non running car, if you can still get it for 1200.

Absolutely.I just feel,if you Imps., and have the money restore it.If i had alot of money i,d have the whole car taken apart, and fixed, rebuilt, and made new.And yes, i would drive it a little bit weekly to keep it,s legs fresh and show it off!! No grimy , sludgy gas tanks here.Hope somebody got it to restore.B.B

1973 Chrysler Imperial - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle...

listed 05/16/2020
asking 11.500$

I have for sale a 1973 Chrysler Imperial. THE GOOD: She is a Sherwood Green, 4 door gem with an off white vinyl top and green interior. Power plant is a 440 with 99k miles. All power windows, seats, antenna and head lamp covers work. THE BAD: The 8 track player does not work, but the radio works. The heat and a/c blower motor doesn’t work up front, but rear does. The vinyl top needs some attention in the common areas for the Chryslers with vinyl tops(bottom right corner of rear window). I am the 3rd owner. This gem is a MUST SEE all original. She’s definitely a head turner and conversation piece. Asking price is $11,500

I like Tina Patina.Heh.But that avocado like green is simply lustrous. And yes i,m still livid about that 2 door black Imperial that looked like it survived Pearl Harbor.Look like the roof got strafed.B.B

Anyone have photos of the metal of the trunk floor on that green beauty or even the bottom of the doors? That car looks good to me.........

440 V8, 727 Automatic Transmission

Excellent condition with only 52,500 miles. Being driven so it will go up.

Car turns more heads than any other vehicle i have ever been in. This is the longest car ever made post WW2.
Imperial was a separate make underneath the Chrysler Umbrella from 1955-1975, and then again from 1981-1983. These cars were designed to compete with Cadillac and Lincoln as luxury vehicles. In order to compete, engineers at Imperial came up with a clever strategy, technology. This car came standard with a 4 barrel holley carb, cruise, A/C, AM/FM, power seats, door locks, even electronic ignition to replace the high maintenance points-style ignition. This car weighs just under 5000 pounds, and still makes it to 60 in 8-9 seconds with the help of its 7.2L V8. 1972 Was before the Oil Embargo and most emissions controls meaning this 440 still packs a punch.

Engine and Transmission freshly rebuilt, many new parts. Tires, ignition system, headlights, starter, battery, gas tank/sending unit. Car is complete. Every letter emblem, every tag, every trim piece is on the car. No rips in the seats. Power windows, power door locks, power drivers seat, all functioning.

Body lines are all straight. Very minimal surface rust on rockers and underside. Does need a headliner. This is not a derby car.

More images and information upon request. Car is being driven every week.
I have videos walking around the car, displaying all the electronics, as well as driving the car.

I continue to struggle with this yellow Imperial. It supposedly has 52K miles on it, but it has a very worn driver seat and the listing claims it has a freshly rebuilt engine and transmission. At least the engine sure doesn't look freshly rebuilt to me and why would the engine need rebuilding in the first place at that mileage claim (maybe the transmission might have needed resealing due to age rather than miles).

And yet the steering wheel seems pretty good in terms of cracks but the rim blow switch is falling apart. The dash panel looks pretty clean too with very little of the white paint lettering worn down. And the exterior seems pretty straight. And manual a/c is a plus.

Maybe rebuilt means new head gaskets and fresh oil for the seller ?!? That way it stayed in the car and wasn't painted.

For the worn seats I know it's leather but what happens to it if a 300lbs guy drives it... Could that explain material fatigue?
