Hi @ayilar, Thanks for pointing me to this thread.
Found these on facebook. A 72 and 73 4drs for any who are interested they are in MS. $4800 for both. And yes the rear quarter looks toast...
Forgot the link. sorry!
I only see pictures and no link...
They´ve been around for a while
Anyways @AussieFellaWithaCbody if you want to copy a facebook link, you have to
1. copy the link
2. write a word or single figure
3. mark it
4. click on the link-symbol in the commandfield above
5. insert the link .. done
Result looks like this. It´s just with facebook links, I don´t know why
just fixed it (finally)
@Marv i like how the owner says you can just chop the quarter off the 72 to weld to the 73 he must have not ever tried that. I have and know it is not a walk in the park...
I can imagine that. However you get a package deal there. Save one car and make it nice and part the other car, you might
even walk away with a profit from that. But you need the space and the time for such a project
pity i am in Australia...
Thinking about it
Cars are to be found in Europe too if you search. All Scandiavian countries are mad for US car's. Big following in Germany too. Lots for sale but prices higher.
Ebay Germany, Blocket Sweden, nettiauto Finland.
Well, if someone like baby blue / Virgin Mary blue, here is another one for sale on FB in Shreveport. At $2k with a running drivetrain, good chrome, and a decent interior, this one has leather inside. Here is the ad:
"72 Chrysler 440 Big Block Auto. Running & Driving. Runs great... No smoke at all. Starts right up & sounds good. Selling complete... not parting out. Car.. brakes do work.. Power windows not working? Or headlights? Don't know why never checked... but mainly selling the running gear.. So buy the running gear & get the car free !!! With a good Title... in Shreveport la. $2000 Title in hand 318 ### 426 #### 0579"
They seem to rust around the roof a fair bit... factory rust proofing issue?
This color is... I don't know, sometimes I like it sometimes I don't.. Maybe it's just me not visualizing myself in a baby blue car
Not a fan of baby blue myself...
I am sure that you will soon be meeting Clarissa, the GB1 Newport owned by your compatriot @Xlratr and see how nice it looks on the right car
Yes you are right. That car looks classy in baby blue. But the imperial? mEh...I would prefer black or dark red or deep blue. i think light colours look wrong on imperials. But hey, that's just me.
So, you're not keen on the white '72? The colour can always be changed.
Personally, I was never a fan of white Fuselage Imperials, until I watched the videos and looked at the pics of Lee, Doc's '73 Imperial. It really grew on me. Of course, black wins hands down.
The best late-fusie Imperial color IMHO is A5 silver frost (dark grey in Dodge speak) -- cue Doc's Tina Patina. Then again, I am biased as evidenced by my acquisition of Ming (a JA5 4dr 1973 NYB).
