1972 Dodge Monaco wagon, my 1st C body Mopar!

Got the floors drilled for the seat belts. Side panels were cleaned up and reinstalled. Things went back together nicely. The kids like riding in the back, we are all happy with the results. Thanks again Mike (Wonderwagon) for selling this seat!

Is anyone in the position to share a picture of where the fuel tank sending unit on a fusie wagon should be grounded? Im replacing what appears to be the original, and there aren't any ground straps in sight. I thought I remember reading that there should be at least two.

There should be a metal clip that jumps the gap from one side of the rubber hose to the other to ground the sender.

Lol dang man you are quick!

Hmmm, no that strap is AWOL, will have to remedy this situation.

Thanks again Sir!

Those straps are available reproduction, but you could just use some hose clamps and a piece of wire for the same results.

Thanks again Jeff, I ended up soldering a ground wire in place. No more red "FUEL" light and the gauge works...what a relief!

Also wanted to add this pic to the thread and publically thank Manny (70 Sport Suburban) for coming down my way and giving a hand in figuring out why the rear door was malfunctioning. It would fold down as a tailgate, but not swing open as a door. After more than an hour we figured out that one of the 3 latches was binding and needed lubrication. It was great to hang out, thanks again!

@BLIMP yes that was a very fun day glad to help out with the wagon. And it will be fun yarding with you tomorrow can't wait to see what we find.

Mine swings open but I haven't figured out how to fold down. I have lubed everything up and tried pushing, pulling and moving things around with no luck. I need a tailgate whisperer.

Who's sending unit did you purchase?

Do you have the little bar towards the bottom that when the window is all the way down it pushes that bar down. And releases the latch to do the gate part i believe?

While out junkyarding with Manny last week I was able to find a good seat bracket for the middle seat. For whatever reason this countersunk hole broke through on mine.

Picked up a good plastic cover for the tailgate lever. Also installed the proper stamped GATE/DOOR tag

Let me mention that a 71 Polara mirror is different than a 72 mirror, found out the hard way. Good thing I also grabbed one from a 73 Monaco...its the same as a 72.

Installing a right mirror is a huge upgrade for me, it's so much nicer backing in and out of the garage. Highway commuting is easier too.

Hi Blimp
Read your thread today for the first time. What a great looking wagon!
I admire you, for all the work you've done on the car.
