My 72 Fury has these studs coming out of rubber blocks, which extend into the trunk. Any idea of what torque to use on the nuts? I was guessing 10'lbs. Don't want to overtighten. BSM gives vague directions and no torque specs for any bumper bolt. Thanks, Ben

Snug-plus should do the trick, which is probably about what you guessed. 10-15ft/lbs. When taking apart a virgin car, they are never very tight. The nuts should have grippy washers on them to keep from backing off.

I didn't even use 10'lbs. I just used enough tightness to adjust the top of the bumper to correct position. At least for the lower 2 of the 4 impact pads, Chrysler used carriage bolts that easily spin in rung out square holes in the bumper brackets. (Guess how I learned this.) I bought my car from a person who installed the bumper with no bracket bolts and no bolts thru the lower valence. The carriage bolts thru the impact pads were carrying all the load. Now, the car has 4 bracket bolts and 4 bolts thru the lower edge of valence panel to carry the load and help properly position the bumper
