Hey guys! Has anyone of you installed the "Security Alarm System" in his Landyacht from factory? In particular, it is about the Alarm Control Center (bottom left of the plan). This sits under the left front fender between battery and sheet metal. This box leads its own life with my boat, because apparently not all relevant contacts are installed. Does anyone have experience with it? Can this be bridged or uninstalled? If anyone still has such a part as nos, please report. I am grateful for all messages.

To me, if your car operates with no issues, I'd leave it alone. I notice one wire going to the starter relay.... the last thing you need is to have that thing shut you down when you need it the most.

I would agree with you immediately. I would never have touched the thing voluntarily if it did not occasionally crackle and crack in the box while the ignition is off and all doors closed. I'm afraid the box will catch fire someday. Currently I have disconnected the battery. Maybe you could bridge the cable that goes to the starter relay?

crackle and crack in the box

Didn't know it was doing that! I would unhook the box and see if the car acts normal. In your own shop BTW. If it does, great, if not plug it back in and do some more research. I'm not familiar with the system. The shop manual should have some info on it. I'm sure they had some issues back in the day.

The shop manual describes the alarm system unfortunately only in general the functionality, would be interesting, however, an internal circuit diagram of the box, so you can see which cables can be bridged. Unhooking would not work in my opinion because too many systems are connected via this box.
