While casually browsing for a tiny crapbox beater Mopar with a stick, I came across this rarity. Not my style but it is interesting.

Those were, in my opinion, one of the best looking cars to come out of the late '80s! Beautiful! Since it's manual, the problem of the terrible Chrysler auto-trans for '88-'92 will not be an issue. This would be a great buy, in my opinion!

Kinda an oddball with the TI turbo/5 speed...basically a 2.5 non-intercooled engine...usually the 5 speeds were TII cars, 2.2 intercooled. Nice car regardless

The only other 5-speed car like this I have seen had the Mitsu 2.6 in it; it was a coupe.

Not if it looked like this one (rounded, hidden lights, etc.) No Mitsu 4 cyls from '87-'93 (last year of coupe production, '95 for 'vert). They did offer a very small number of Mitsu 3.0 V6 with the 5 speeds.

I must also add that the 4sp OD transmissions were more of an issue in heavier minivans. Being electronically shifted (the first in the industry) many were "rebuilt" because of simple speed-sensor and solenoid issues. My own LHS went into limp-in mode for a failed speed sensor that I grabbed at a junkyard and installed in 30 mins. Incorrect (i.e., cheaper) fluid after a maintenance service killed a few as well.

It may have been the V6. I know the guy special ordered it because he wanted a manual trans, and it had a Mitsu motor in it.
