2004 PT Cruiser 2.4Liter non Turbo Exhaust Manifold Bolts

Any one here know if the bolt holes in the head are blind or open to the water jacket? I've got one with coolant leaking seemingly from the deck/head, but the lower part of the manifold flange is stained along with one of the bolt heads. I rather not try to loosen anything without knowing if it's worthwhile.
19 years and 140,000. miles says to me everything I touch will snap or disintegrate.

If memory serves they are blind. But, it's been a few years since I had the head off one of those.
