2015 PWD car is ready

Introducing the 2015 Big Block Dodge racing Pine Wood Derby car.


Weigh in today, racing tomorrow. Last one hope for a decent showing, he is excited and proud of this car.

That's cool, my boys are both grown and out of cub scouts I loved building the pine wood cars

Decided, drew it out, transfered to the block, used the bandsaw for the rough shape, input all the way, sanded. I kind of just did most of the stuff that could get out of control, hole saw, detail work with the band saw, some dremel work. His next sanding project is helping dad block sand my Barracuda lol.

Pine wood derby ran today finished 8th first mentioned place so made it to the money round so to speak. Also got award for most original design voted by his peers ( other scouts) so he was pretty proud of that and I likewise proud of him.

Fun stuff. This one came in third. We (ok I went a little overboard - aluminum grille, boot leather for the seat etc) had a blast building it. The other car (not pictured) won first, but looked like a wedge. Nothing fancy, but fast.
