318 LA + Edelbrock dual plane + A/C?

I'm planning to put a four barrel on the 318 in my '70 Fury. The car has factory A/C. I'm thinking about an Edelbrock Performer intake (the 2176 - Intake Manifolds - Chrysler - Small-Block - Performer Series - Edelbrock, LLC.) with an Edelbrock carb. The engine is out of the car and the hood has been removed - maybe should have measured first!

So:

1) Will the Edelbrock intake clear the stock A/C compressor? (I note the Mopar Performance dual plane states that it won't clear the A/C.)

2) Will I be able to close the hood with a standard 14" x 3" pancake air cleaner on top?

I recently got a similar set up, Infact I think I got the exact same manifold.

You going with a 4bbl carb too? is it the Edelbrok 600?

If so then I think your set up will fit. Mine on my '71 sport fury did, although there was pretty much no left over room so there is that. I don't know about A/C though, my car had already had that removed so there wasn't any issue with that.
