It's Not Going to Shift Itself
I came across this pic from my uncle, and am trying to identify the car behind him. I think it's a 60 Dodge he had before his 61 Plymouth.

Could well be. I'm not up on the nuances of our Plodges. I just know he didn't have it long because of the /6, and he was disappointed with th e performance compared to the 57 Savoy he traded in. It was then replaced with a white on black 61 Fury with a V8. Unfortunately he passed last year and dad passed 5 years ago, so the only two who could fill in the blanks are no longer with us.
Is that an A/C car? The Phoenix you posted above does not have air ducts routed trough the dashboard.

In ascending order, it was Seneca - Phoenix - Polara, correct? I've always loved the '60 Darts. There was an original triple blue Phoenix at the Palm Springs auction a few years ago that I drooled over.
As DeSoto died in 1961, so did the Diplomat.
They did the same with leftover 1961 Lancers - renamed them DeSoto Rebel.
