65 Newport Exterior parts interchange

I've got a 65 Newport (4 door) that has some rust under the rear window and a few of the body panels. Will body panels from a 65 imperial (4 door) fit (especially the under the rear window section) since i can get my hands on a parts imperial?

The Imperial has slab side body lines but they will not interchange with your Newport. Doors and such are bigger. If you were just going to raid the window channel, it might be possible to make that work with some cutting and other modifications. You would be better served to find a west coast or southern car that has rust free components.

Chrysler Newport and most New Yorker body panels could be interchanged in '65, plus some 300 body items. Imperials were a completely different situation prior to 1967. Best to get what bolt-on fits. Makes fitment much quicker and easier.
