66 Fury III

Long time member but first time poster. My son found a 66 Fury III on marketplace with a poly. I know polys were available in B Bodies in 66 but in
C bodies in 66?-

Yes, I don't think any car had the LA block until 1967 model year. In Canada many, most or all C-bodies, or all Mopars with a 318 were still the poly block in 1967.

Yes....318 is base engine for big american plymouths in 66. Slant six is base for the canadians

Slant 6 was base in most C bodies until 1972. Then it was fleet only.

Many people tend to "look down" on "Polys", but their heritage goes back to the "Single Rocker Shaft V-8" of the 1950s. Which means their bottom end is pretty much the "Double Rocker Shaft V-8" family of engines. MUCH beefier main bearing area than the small block Chevies! Uncle Tony has good things to say about them, too.
