66 Imperial Tire Size Help

Getting my 66 Imperial convertible back on the road. Factory tires were 9.15/15. I looked up conversion and it said P235/75R/15. Does that sound right to you other 66 owners?

That’s what I have on my ‘67.

There isn’t a straight replacement available. A closer P metric size would be 235/85-15 but nobody makes that. We have to settle for a tire that is the right width but about an inch smaller in overall diameter.

Stay away from Asian tires.

then you're staying away from any tires that have a white wall.

Coopers have whitewalls and they are an American co.
