Guys,
I'm hoping to go look at a 67 Imp and a 68 New Yorker sometime this week. I'm fairly familiar with the NYer, but is there any problem areas that I should look at closely on the Imp. Both of the are PA cars so I'm a little leary as to how much rust I may find. There were no pictures with the ad.
Thanks

Rocker panels, rear lower quarters, under the vinyl roof, bottom of rear window, trunk floor, the gutter around the trunk seal, floor pans, cowl, undercarriage.
And that's just for rust. Don't believe them when they say panels are avalable in ebay.
Also the HVAC. Don't believe them if they say if it only needs freon.
Have they been driven or is the tank, lines, and carb gummed beyond driveabilty.
Does it run hot.
Those are my key areas....
