Looking for help in regards to the brake fluid line locations for the front brakes. I assume there is not a proportioning valve as the car has drum brakes? But the lines that came with the car do not line up with where I think the brake hoses will come through the frame mounted brackets. Any help would be appreciated. I have mounted the metering valve on the frame just below the master cylinder location. But the fluid line coming from the back of the car only comes to just under the firewall and the metering valve is about a foot farther. Thanks

Power Brakes?
I can take a picture of my ‘68 Polara routing when I get home in an hour or two. Should be close.

Here are some pictures. Of the front. Will grab some from where the rear works it’s way around the frame. It took me a couple of try’s and old pictures to get it right.

Rear line up to proportion valve or splitter

Zoomed in from reference. Top is back of car. Curves around and goes between front of frame and inner fender.
You don’t have to remove inner fender, but the whole brake line needs to move freely to thread it through.

Nice looking under hood by the way.

ok, see my rear line comes up short of that valve, thanks

You can fabricate a short line be sure to use a brake line splice coupler and double flare the connections. Did you by repop brake lines, if so, they are probably for the incorrect wheelbase.

Mine came from inline tube. They were perfect except for one line from the proportion valve to the master cylinder had the wrong fitting on one end. I thought my rear line was short as well, but I had initially routed wrong.
Fuel lines as well. My transmission lines not so much. I think they were for the larger radiator.

Inline tube does a really good job on on their tubing. The only time they ever got it wrong for me at least, was also on cooler lines. Always specified the radiator size after that and have not had any further problems.

I snapped a few pictures of my 68 NYer. I made mt own lines with ni-copp by using the originals as a pattern. Here there are it was kind of tough to get them in the warehouse.

Kind of hard to get pictures with it all put together.

Right, the passenger side fitting is too small to fit the block, I will probably need to put a bushing in it. I cant figure out how the line is routed for the drivers side though. I have brackets for the hose transition that are about 6 inches long, makes no sense. All the transition brackets I find are short L shaped brackets.

Any pictures to see what you had to work with?

Thanks
