Since I don´t love only the 72-73 Imps(only these two are the ones I'd like to own), but also the 69-71s, I decided to pull the trigger to
start their own thread.
I try to take pics from sites where it is allowed (like for sale ads), so if any of them irritates by any bit, give me a note and it´ll be deleted.

LOTS of neat pictures! Thanks for posting!

I've harvested pictures from various places, too. Google for some, for sale ads, and auction/reseller websites. Can't do it on Mecum.com any more . . . I've found some with great camera angles and photography, which make the cars look that much better. "Cheap entertainment" (finding and downloading for archiving) that makes me smile.

In the later '70s-earlier '80s, a friend's dad had a new (smaller) Eldorado fwd coupe. I looked down and there were some CHRYSLER wheel covers on it. Imperial crest and all! From a fwd Imperial of that era. Seems the Cadillac wires had gotten stolen, which they were prone to do, so he just wanted a simple wheel cover that looked good. First thing he found were the Imperial covers and on they went. No theft issues, either!

The 69-71 Imperials are by far my favorite. (Don’t tell Doc I said that) Who doesn’t love gills? It only adds to the already large whale shark/ocean presence the cars give off.

That's ok. I'll sit over here on this side of the bench and admire the 72-73's:lol:...I find them the ultimate in works of art.:poke:

Though I like these older ones, I'm still more on the side of Doc. Bias detected.

*Disclaimer- I like them all...this is nit-picky.

Skirts make all the difference on these cars...that's why the 70 Imperial always leaves me flat. The grille design for 71 with the placards on the headlight doors breaks up the flow. Hence of the 69-71, the 69 is king in my books (has skirts, and a flowing grille...the gills and sequentials don't hurt either).

72 and 73 are a tie for me...I prefer the finer mesh 73 grille and actually don't mind the 73 bumperettes because I remember them on all of the car lines.

Harvested my very own coupe from an auction late last fall. Pictured: at auction before purchased, with newly purchased grill, at home in the de-rodent stage before going in the building, and shipment memo. An AC coupe with vent windows, company car / field car of a regional sales manager back in the day.

Beautiful car! The only other (next to mine) Deep Plum 2dr HT I know. It's the best color for this car! :)
I would love to see more Pictures!

Your first picture looks kinda familiar ;)
