He’s got a big flipper gig going but some of his cars are good.. in spite of them. Usually they carry a double market value price tag.
If you go to their r back of shop, they’re pressure washing, rattle canning and shimming everything that doesn’t look good. IE.. hood latches, engines etc.... at least they stopped painting the exhausts.
This one actually looks pretty honest.
I wanted to give that the red X... but decided not to only so I didn't start you off pissed... My observations...
The "nerf strip" on this bumper is unfortunate. The metal molded into the rubber is rusting and making it wavy...
Sacrilege... an Imperial wouldn't have Chrysler wheel covers... these got transplanted probably from a New Yorker. I like them, they're nice looking... but wrong.
A K car hood star... Not the eagle that belongs there. I don't know what's behind the grille, maybe an aftermarket A/C dryer?
Window switches are tough to find in good condition.
I'd bet a dollar that wheel has been repaired... look it over carefully and you may find shrinking material or other evidence.
I've looked at this before and tried to figure out what happened... ash tray is really skewed and is that the wood grain sticker peeling or something wrong with the plastic it attaches to?
I really am astounded by the amount of paint they add when detailing under a hood.
See that stance... the car came with air shocks and automatic height control... I'd look to see that the pieces are still there and it would be cool if it was working.
I'd also want it on the lift to go over the chassis very carefully... that stub frame might be a little rust or have a big soft spot hidden by undercoating.
1975 Chrysler Imperial LEBARON COUPE - ONE OF 2,728 - 52K MI | eBay
$9500 and looks very nice to me. I’ll be in Lakeland on Thursday and plan on going to see the beast.
Regardless of my nit picking, it looks like a nice $2500 car... maybe more. If I was a buyer, I'd have them disassemble the rear brakes for measurements and inspection... the rotors are stupid hard to find in usable condition and the asking price is always high. The parking brake shoes were unavailable in the mid 80's, so they may have had the linings fall off by now.
It's not the car's fault it got caught in flipper hell... but IMO the benchmark for pointy nose Formal values will be set in May. I'm looking forward to your review of this car.
