It's apparently not for sale, but very interesting. A one family owned car.

Unbelievable car! What a great job they did storing it. Looks like it's never even been dusty!

Reference quality. Should be documented heavily with pics for restorers, as these cars are now the next in line for serious restorations.

Unusual that the car was optioned without skirts. Rare, but not unheard of. I only recently found out that in 77 or 78 (?) skirts became an option on the Brougham when they were standard before. I had always thought they were standard, and that there was an assembly line error with mine...

Probably 25 years ago I bought a triple white 78 NYB (also optioned without skirts) - had only 26,000 miles on it. Previous owner had been having trouble getting it to run right, and had parked it under a tree.

He said, "You can have it for $200 but you have to get it out of here."

I took the air cleaner off, reattached all the vacuum lines that had been unplugged (probably why it wouldn't run), checked the fluids, looked for other obvious issues, poured some gas down the carb, hit the key and it fired right up.

With sagging shoulders the owner took my money and I drove it home.

Cleaned it up, put a new headliner in it, did brakes and a couple of other minor mechanical tweaks, certified (provincial safety certificate) and sold it for $2,500. Not bad!

Pic taken at one of the Mopar Spring Flings in Mississauga - that's my turquoise 66 Monaco behind it.

This makes @PeugFra 's list.

Someone on book face should request a pic of the fender/door tags.

Also - Probably still not a $50k '78 NYB, but a lot closer to that than that infamous "392-mile NYB" despite more miles and more doors (for those that remember...lol)....

The story from the ad. 50 pictures in the ad. "Time capsule", "survivor" .. those words dont do it justice.

"It was bought new in Wyoming in the summer of 1978, the car went on two trips then parked. The wife didn’t like the car and wouldn’t drive it. The owners had a large climate controlled building which housed their business.

The Chrysler was parked and covered in that building from the fall of 1978 until April 2023. The car was only licensed and plated once, the 1978 Wyoming license plates are still on it. There are factory markings visible all around the car, plastic wrap from the factory still on the steering wheel.

It still had the original Firestone 721 tires that were severely flat spotted, they’ve since been replaced. It just received its first oil change, the original Mopar filter is pictured, and to address the skeptics.

The oil looked good, very good in fact. It was fairly clean and was not seperated or broken down. The coolant is bright green and the trans fluid is nice and red. It’s just incredible how well preserved this car actually is!!

The car was one of the last C bodies ever produced, it was built 5/26/78. C body production ended the second week of June 1978 AND it was also the end of the 440 motor in passenger cars, which this one is. Skirts became an option in 1978, this one was ordered without.

The plan is to show this in 2024 and a few Mopar events, in the survivor classes."

Not for sale.
Never driven.
What a waste.
I wonder if the wipers work.
i agree, what a waste to have such a beautiful car and not enjoy it. I would think the wipers work…they have probably never been turned on, the car is always inside LOL.

Probably why the wife didn't want to drive the car, I mean would you want hold on to that for 3k miles?

Also with the low number tag this car must of belonged to someone very important in that state.
I wonder who?

It sure would make the list, but I need the fender tag and/or door sticker to be sure. I don't do Facebook either. For now I jotted this down in my off-line list.
