This appears to be a really exceptional Imperial. Maybe in my next life....................

This 1960 Imperial LeBaron sedan is powered by a 413ci V8 paired with a push-button three-speed automatic transmission. The car reportedly was acquired by the seller’s brother in San Francisco, California following a refurbishment, and in 1992 it was transferred to their father, relocated to Michigan, and eventually was passed along to the seller in 2012. Finished in gray over gray cloth, the sedan is equipped with power-assisted brakes and steering, electric windows, aftermarket auxiliary gauges, and a push-button AM radio. In mid-2020 the car received a tuneup and an electronic fuel pump was installed. This Imperial LeBaron is offered at no reserve with records from current and previous ownership, a black California license plate, and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.

Not JUST an Imperial, but a LeBaron..... It needs you Steve. If only to replace the hose clamps and ign wires. What a beauty.....

I am sorely tempted as it is Will - but I have to be more sensible in my old age! If it had a/c, I would have already bid I am afraid. Whew!

What is drawing me to this car is not only that it is a Le Baron in great condition, but if the odometer reading is true, it has the same exact 29K miles reading as on the odometer of my 300F that is all original and virtually untouched. All its chrome, paint and interior is all original and this Imperial might be very original too in some of those respects.

I can easily visualize it sitting next to my 300F in my garage. What a pair they would make! They would both have the original black and yellow plates too.

Chrysler created some masterpiece vehicles in 1960 - they amaze me even today.

Just a couple of observations...Would not the Imperial have had a leather interior originally? And would the original engine still be gold colored?
I think it is a beautiful car and I'd like to have it as well.

Keep talking Steve, LOL.
I'm waiting for my 61 Fury to be finished before I become "sensible".

Broadcloth was the standard interior on the Imperial Le Baron so the pattern looks close to factory correct to me except the bolsters should be leather, so I conclude the interior has been redone but looks very close to original minus the leather.

The engine should be black in color but since the listing says some refurbishment took place on the car, I am guessing that included some mechanical components under the hood. After such a long time, it was likely that head gaskets were replaced and maybe core plugs and then the engine might have been painted the color of the later 413s................................

Here is a photo from the 1960 Imperial brochure of the broadcloth interior..........

Interesting on the interior. I learn something else yet again.
I fully suspected the engine had been gone through to some degree and repainted. Just wondering on the original color.
thanks.

Steve....I should try to repost my Blue '60 coupe! This is a nice car. However a LeBaron with No AC., Cruise, Auto-Dimmer. I see it has the Wool Broadcloth! These cars look a lot better as Hardtops! I think they went to the turquoise blocks in 1962.
