A little while back I had heard about this through the grapevine so to speak. I happen to have a lot of friends, female of course, who escaped from Vietnam in 1975 and made it here over in the years after that. They were telling me of this great thing that happened in their country with President Obama recently. I had no clue but they did based on information from their relatives on the street. Then I see it up here, on CNN, and could put it all together what they had heard about. The show is this Sunday. I could tell the Vietnamese were really stoked about President Obama actually eating their food and drinking their beer. A simple basic Hanoi dish, ordinary talk and a massive diplomatic coup on the side.

In comparison with the two running for his office these days, Obama is a lot more likeable and probably explains why his ratings are so high these days. I do not have much hope for our future with what is going to be before us soon.......................................
